A few words from our very own Dancing Queen Claire:

"April 2018 on a night out I dared, then double dared Greg Gardener Boyes (Partner at KBL Solicitors) to be my dance partner in this event!

Challenge accepted, he has been the most amazing dance partner. The wonderful thing about dancing … is the friendships you can make!

Thank you Greg!

Overwhelmed and grateful to those who have donated, I thank my friends, work colleagues at Harrison's Estate Agents and family, especially my Mum β€˜Linda’ who have sat through endless videos of the dance routine, always giving kind words of encouragement and support.

My choice to support this amazing hospice is in memory of Patricia β€˜Tatty’ Doyle, a lady who was a very important person in Laura, my daughter in laws life. She bravely battled cancer and her last days were spent in the hands of Bolton Hospice with her loved ones by her side.

They saw at first hand the care and compassion the Hospice provide.

The hospice cannot give extra days to a life, but they do give quality and dignity to the last days of a life.

I cannot express how delighted I am to have been part of such an amazing experience and for a wonderful charity such as Bolton Hospice.

Fabulous memories I will cherish forever."

As we move through May 2026, buyers are seeing more homes come to market, but affordability still matters. Here is what today’s mix of greater choice, steady demand and higher mortgage costs means if you are planning a move.

April is a good time for buyers to focus on readiness rather than guesswork. In a market where choice has improved but confidence remains mixed, being organised can make all the difference when the right home comes along.

May is a key month for sellers, but more homes are competing for attention. If you are thinking of moving this spring, here is how the current market is shaping buyer behaviour and what helps a home stand out.

A few weeks ago, we published our guide on preparing for the Renters' Rights Act ahead of the 1 May 2026 deadline. Since then, we have been speaking to landlords across the region every day β€” and the honest truth is that many are further behind than they realise.
